The attention to detail continues into the bedroom, where a French style double bed provides a tranquil sleeping spot, where, depending on when you arrive, will be styled with different colours for each season, and also host to ample storage space in the form of a wardrobe. Soak in the roll-top bath for a peaceful moment to yourself, or delight in a hot shower in the separate walk-in enclosure within the bright and airy bathroom. Make prior arrangements with the owner to make use of the amazing indoor swimming pool for an afternoon dip, or likewise treat yourself to some time in the sauna, making this cottage a truly unique experience. The location of the cottage is less than a mile from the town centre, so you can stroll to and from with no trouble, perfect for when you want to dine out at one of the many excellent restaurants, with some holding gorgeous views out to sea. Enjoy a slow Sunday by visiting the Sunday market by the harbour and browsing what’s on offer. Head to Warkworth to find its castle on the hillside, and wander around the picture-perfect village before travelling further north to Alnwick which is home to the amazing Alnwick Castle, a marvellous building featured in both Downtown Abbey and Harry Potter. Amble is a delightful town resting in Northumberland, situated at the mouth of the River Coquet. Home to a marina, a harbour and sandy beaches, Amble is a little-known coastal retreat where fresh catches appear on the menus of the local restaurants, so you can take a night off from cooking and dine out. Pick up your essentials from the several shops for a home-cooked meal, and visit the local pubs for a refreshing beverage. Go to neighbouring Warkworth and visit Warkworth Castle, or head to the Northumberland Country Zoo for a lovely day out.
