Opposite the village pub in Ellington, this charming cottage has a central location to explore the magnificent Heritage coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with endless sandy beaches, majestic castles, traditional fishing villages and friendly coastal villages. The Northumberland National Park, Cheviots and Pennine Hills, or Hadrian’s Wall are easily accessible for a day trip. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

This cottage is located on the main road and right outside the door is a bus stop. This means the transport links are excellent. The cottage is the perfect size for someone who is planning to explore and sleeps a family of four perfectly. There is a nice country pub directly across the road and Cresswell is within walking distance if you are up to it, for the beach (I’d class it as a long walk). If you have arrived by car, which I’d imagine most would, Ashington is local, for food shopping (Asda, Lidl and Aldi), but more importantly the County of Northumberland is amazing. No end of Castles, and miles of golden sandy beaches. Enjoy.

A lovely cottage well placed for the coast and countryside. Cottage well equipped clean and characterful. Cresswell beach a short drive. Local shop for everyday items a short walk away and local pub across the road with good pub food. No noise from the pub. Patricia lovely host and very friendly.
