We liked the view across the valley. The house was fresh and clean and had all the necessary equipment and very comfortable beds. We had not realised that we were high above the town which meant a car trip to access it. One important point to be made is the number of steps and stairs which were difficult for the Elderly , as we were.

A quirky cottage and we do not mind quirky. A mid terrace of 5 with direct access from the pavement with a small yard area to rear which benefitted from afternoon and evening sun. The shrubs were overgrown and provided privacy but could do with a good prune so not to feel so enclosed. The adjoining owner had access through the yard area but rarely used so was enjoyed by No.3. The rear kitchen was below ground level so had limited natural light and dining area compact even for two people but worked. Great location with views from the front rooms across town and a short walk to the amenities albeit a steep walk. All in all a great base for touring the area and recommend a trip to Cragside.

Cottage very clean, warm and comfortable. Bed super comfy. Shower hot and great towels. Extremely peaceful. Gas fire not working and after trying to light it 20/30 times I texted the owner who said he had a part on order. Hive heating kept the cottage very warm
