The location is celebrated for its tranquillity and proximity to Kielder Water, making it perfect for nature enthusiasts. However, the remote nature means amenities are a drive away, which is suitable for some but not all.
Reviews highlight the comfort of the lodge, mentioning it as 'very comfortable' and 'perfect for a relaxing stay'. The presence of a hot tub also contributes to the overall comfort and enjoyment.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a useful information file and well-maintained lodge. However, a mention of a non-working toaster and missing light bulb suggests some minor maintenance issues.
While the reviews reflect the owners' helpfulness and the usefulness of the information booklet, there are no specific mentions of gifts or additional thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Really enjoyed my stay. Aside from the lack of clear skies at night (was an astrophotography trip). The owners were very friendly and always had a good chat when we saw them. They also recommended that I should come back when it's properly cold for the best skies...very helpful. Something I plan on doing. The lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. Location was perfect for me. Wonderfully peaceful and quiet. Would recommend to anyone who wants a nice quiet relaxing break and for anyone who loves a good walk. Just be warned that there isn't much around. No supermarkets etc but that suited me fine. In all, I would and will definitely go back.
