Head to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, visible in the distance from the windows for a cultural day out and bring back some of the local mead to try. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands to see the seals and the puffins from April to late July and enjoy the attractions at nearby Ford and Etal.
