About this property

Beadnell 3.3 miles. A pretty single-storey terraced cottage nestled into the rural hamlet of West Fleetham, near Beadnell, Dunrovin, a former workers cottage, is ideal for a family or two couples looking to explore the scenic countryside and coast of Northumberland. Park off-road and settle into a tasteful sitting area, sporting contrasting sofas of red floral and beige with red cushions, you can relax with a book and enjoy the welcoming glow of the woodburning stove as you plan the day ahead of you. As the day wears on, you will be enticed into a spacious kitchen/diner, where there are ample amenities and a dining table, allowing guests to cook together. Two homely bedrooms await, including a double and a king-size which can be set up as a twin on request, and a smart white tiled bathroom will soak the countryside chill from your skin after a day of exploring the local area. When you fancy some fresh air, enjoy a glass of your favourite beverage in the sunshine with a view across the local countryside from the patio. West Fleetham is a rural hamlet within easy reach of many attractions, including the historic Preston Tower, Northumberland Coast’s AONB, perfect for walking, and several great towns, including Beadnell and Seahouses, each with a fantastic selection of eateries and sandy beaches. Travel a little further and you will find the historic town of Bamburgh with its magnificent castle, and beyond this Holy Island where there is a great selection of historical sites, beaches and independant shops and eateries. Explore the wonders of Northumberland with a stay at Dunrovin.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

Very comfortable and well equipped in a peaceful location. Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to a family bereavement and so did not get to enjoy Dunrovin and Northumberland to the full but we will book this cottage again and hope to return very soon. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

We had an amazing time here. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The terrace was perfect for the dogs and because there is wire between each bar on the fence, we felt confident they couldn't get into the field. The cottage was clean, and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would have no hesitation in returning. We visited Berwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Wooler, Morpeth, and Lindisfarne. All lovely in their own way. In the cottage my only suggestion would be could you put a baking tray or or pizza tray in the cupboard? We couldn't find anything big enough to cook pizza on. Otherwise it was an amazing cottage, in a beautiful and perfect location, with easy access to all the attractions, enabling us to have an incredible holiday. Thankyou

It was very quiet and peaceful, ideal for escaping the daily noise and stress of everyday life! Everywhere was clean and tidy on arrival. Thank you. Jill Hockenhull.
