Nearby Warkworth is a pretty, picture postcard village dominated by its castle which sits at the top of the village.  The local pubs and cafés are all well worth a visit too.  Amble is close to the start of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty stretching along the beautiful coastline to Berwick-upon-Tweed, with miles of golden beaches and castles.  Be sure to visit Holy Island during your stay.  Alnwick Castle is just a few minutes’ dr. . .
