Whinstone House is consistently praised for its excellent location, comfort, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the proximity to Craster harbour, local eateries, and the stunning coastal path. The open-plan living area is ideal for family gatherings, and the property is described as warm and inviting. While one review mentioned a cleaning issue, it was quickly resolved, and the overall experience is highly regarded.

The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness. However, one guest noted the house was not as clean as expected upon arrival, but this was promptly addressed. Therefore, a high score is given, with a slight deduction for the mentioned concern.

The location is unanimously celebrated for its proximity to the sea, local pubs, and attractions. Guests find it ideal for exploring the Northumberland coast, with easy access to walking paths and scenic views.

Guests find the house comfortable, with a warm atmosphere and adequate bedrooms. The open-plan living area is particularly appreciated for its spaciousness and ability to accommodate family activities.

The property is well-appointed with great facilities, including a well-equipped kitchen. The mention of a free electric car charger nearby is a plus. The house is described as modern and well maintained.

While guests mention a welcome hamper, there is not enough information to assess the consistency or quality of this gesture across all stays. As such, it is noted that such thoughtful touches, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

We spent Christmas at Whinstone House and had an absolutely lovely time. A beautifully decorated Christmas tree was provided and the house was always really warm and comfortable. The bedrooms are not large but were perfectly adequate and the upstairs open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room never felt crowded (we were five adults). The kitchen area is also not large but was well equipped and I was able to cook Christmas dinner without any problems. The open plan nature of the upstairs meant that I could be included in what the family were doing even as I organised the dinner. There was always lots of hot water and the water pressure in both showers was excellent. The house is a very short walk from the harbour in Craster and is ideally placed to explore the Northumberland Coastal path and Northumberland's amazing beaches and many castles. There are a number of very good restaurants within easy driving distance and Berwick and its several supermarkets is only 45 minutes away with Alnwick rather closer. For those who drive electric cars there is a free charger (7kW) in the car park right next to the house (pay for the parking) and the superchargers at Adderstone are about 20 minutes away.Whinstone House is a lovely, comfortable, warm, modern 4 bedroom house in an ideal location for a holiday on the Northumberland coast.

A wonderful trip to Craster! 4 adults and 3 children with lots of space - the upstairs open plan was a perfect living space for us all. Ideal location, a stones through from the sea and Jolly Fisherman (brilliant food! And great ale!). Excellent value for money, would recommend to any families!
