Minor maintenance issues are occasionally noted but do not detract from the overwhelmingly positive experience. The cottage is ideal for couples seeking a relaxing retreat with easy access to local attractions.

Cleanliness is frequently described as 'spotless', 'beautifully clean', and 'immaculate', with only one review mentioning the interior as 'a little tired'. Overall, guests are extremely satisfied with the standard of cleanliness.

We’ve been to the Old Workshop a few times now and have always enjoyed the peaceful, relaxing, rural location. If you’re bringing a dog there are some lovely walks from the door in the surrounding area. Shops, pubs & beaches are a short drive away and the cottage itself has been perfect for us.

A fantastic cottage in a great location, 10 mins drive to the beach, 15-20mins to Alnwick, about 30mins to Cragside. Very clean and comfortable in a picturesque village with friendly owners and neighbours. The garden, not shown in the photos, is accessed at the side of the cottage and is really lovely, though not fully enclosed. There are some great walks from the village, including to The Rocking Horse Cafe, which is very dog friendly. The nearest shop is the Co-op in Longhoughton, about 10 mins drive away. Great pizza from Embers in Embleton too.
