It is the perfect location for a getaway to explore the northumberland Coast. Within walking distance from the stunning Alnmouth beach, brilliant bars, pubs, and restaurants. Free, secure parking is on the premises.
Ideal for a couple, this old stone characterful property was recently converted to the highest, most comfortable standard. With an open plan kitchen come living room, this holiday home has everything you could need for a trip away from home. As you enter the home, you walk into a large living room complete with a Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix app to use with guests’ own account (log out on leaving), so after a long day at the beach you can come home and put your feet up. The home has Wi-Fi access throughout so you can stay connected whilst sneaking away from city life. Complete with a fully equipped modern kitchen you can enjoy a lazy morning with having breakfast as and when you choose it. The living space has double patio doors opening onto your own private garden, so you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sun. On the first floor, there is a large bedroom with an en-suite, complete with a walk-in shower.
After a long, action-packed day exploring you’ll be delighted to crash into the very comfortable kingsize bed. The owners of the property have made sure everything in this cottage has been finished to the highest standard, so you can ensure the most comfortable stay whilst visiting the gorgeous village of Alnmouth. There is even a private, free parking space outside of the property, which is very rare in this tourist hotspot.

Arrived on a very cold and damp day in January to find no heating on. It took a couple of hours and several phone calls to resolve so it wasn’t a great welcome! It would have been nice if the cottage was heated for guests arrival during winter. The instructions for the heating and boiler didn’t seem to be correct (also the dishwasher)Having said this, the cottage was really lovely. It was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and in a great location. There was great support locally to resolve the initial issues

South Stable is an excellent base for a holiday in Alnmouth. Although positioned in the centre of the village close to all the pubs, restaurants and shops it has the benefit of a valuable parking space which is a great asset in Alnmouth where parking is very limited.The accommodation was very clean and well presented for our arrival and we enjoyed a comfortable stay. It was our second time at South Stable and we will be back.
