The market town of Alnwick with its castle, the stunning Alnwick Gardens and a wide array of independent shops, galleries and eateries is just 8 miles away. The picture-postcard town of Rothbury sitting at the foot of the Simonside and Lordenshaw Hills, with Cragside Hall on its outskirts, is 9 miles away. Wooler is a welcoming market town 11 miles from the property, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and offering a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding countryside, its many challenging or less strenuous walks or trails close by and any stargazers will delight in the dark sky offerings on the doorstep. The Northumberland Heritage Coast is less than 15 miles east and there are no less than 10 castles to explore within 25 miles, with many Iron Age discoveries to be had very close to the property. The property is picture perfect like walking into a film. It actually filled me with awe everytime I woke up, sitting on the sofa staring out onto the garden became my favourite thing to do.My dog loved the garden! Despite cold and gloomy weather we were out there for a few hours across the week.The shower wasn’t getting too hot whilst we were there, but someone came out to have a look and alter it and they were super lovely and helpful.It’s a bonus having a driveway!And i love a property all on one level, it makes such a difference for me, it’s a proper holiday as I have mobility issues and struggle with the stairs at home… i just didn’t want to leave in the end!Honestly, you can hear the main road but we can at home.I wish the skies were clearer for a sunset, sunrise or star gazing, but i imagine these would be amazing in this area.If you walk up the lane there’s a series of fields that we managed to walk in an out of from the doorstep. Thrunton woods was lovely too.We took our shopping with us and I’d recommend that or a food shop delivered as it’s country roads and morisons is about a 15minute drive. I saw that 2 takeaways on just eat would deliver, however no uber eats as it’s a little rural, not that it bothered us as we drove to collect our food. Would definitely stay again

The coach house is a really great place to stay and explore the beautiful area. The coach house was really cosy and had all the esentials for a lovely stay. The garden is brilliant and very secure. We had a lovely time in Northumberland and would highly recommend this as a place to stay.
