Throughout the cottage, as well as a bathroom and ground-floor shower room where you can freshen up after a long walk along the coast, you will find two king-size bedrooms, one on the ground floor with an en-suite, and one on the first floor, both with tasteful décor, and here you will also find a homely twin. Outside there is a great sitting area where you can enjoy coffee in the sunshine. Alnmouth is an ideal seaside getaway, with a fantastic local beach, countryside walks, the Old School Art gallery and England’s Oldest 9 Hole Links Golf course. Alnmouth also has a convenience store where you can stock up on essentials as well as a selection of pubs and eateries. Further from the property you will find the wonderful market town of Alnwick where there are more walks, riverside views, tasty eateries and a fantastic castle. Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.
