The Tynemouth Village Penthouse is highly praised for its excellent location, stunning sea views, and the host Steve's warm hospitality. Guests appreciate the spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped apartment, with many looking forward to returning. While some cleanliness issues were noted, the overall experience is cherished, especially the proximity to local amenities and the thoughtful touches like welcome gifts.
Most guests found the apartment spotlessly clean, with clean towels and linen. However, a few mentioned the need to wash glasses and mugs before use and some mould in the shower, suggesting room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The location is consistently lauded for being ideal, with easy access to bars, restaurants, public transportation, and sea views. It is described as the heart of Tynemouth, contributing to a fantastic stay.
Guests frequently mention the comfort of the apartment, highlighting mega comfy beds and a homely feel. The only drawback for some was the single bathroom, which could be a challenge for larger groups.
The apartment is well-equipped, with a large kitchen and amenities like Netflix. Some guests noted it's starting to look tired and suggested it could benefit from updates and an additional toilet.
Guests often mention the thoughtfulness of the host, including welcome gifts such as Prosecco. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such gifts are a bonus and not guaranteed.
Tynemouth Village Penthouse is an elegantly-styled penthouse nestled across the third and fourth floors in a historic Georgian building in the heart of the seaside town of Tynemouth, in the North East region of England. This property is perfect for anyone looking to explore this wonderful location and benefits from being within striking distance of a range of tourist attractions. Climb the steps to the third floor and find a stunning and spacious kitchen/diner with breath-taking sea views. On return from one of your adventures, you can rustle up a hearty meal in the fully-equipped kitchen and get everyone together at the dining table to tuck in and toast to a wonderful holiday with a glass of champagne which you can also take into the grand Georgian sitting room with views over the village. Up a smaller set of stairs to a half landing, you will discover a super-king-size bedroom and steps lead up again to the fourth floor which also holds two super-king-sizes bedrooms, each with zip and link features and can be separated into single beds upon request, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements. Tynemouth was voted the best place to live in the North of England in the Sunday Times 2018 awards and is an excellent choice for a holiday due to its coastal location and easy access to three nearby beaches including Tynemouth Beach, King Edward's Bay or Long Sands Beach, all giving the opportunity for swimming, surfing, or playing a variety of beach games. For a spot of history, venture towards the ruins of Tynemouth Priory and Castle, or the ancient fortification of Arbeia in South Shields. One of the many attractions include the nationally famous Riley’s Fish Shack, and the property is also a mere stone’s throw from a number of quality restaurants and wine bars, as well as kayaking, surfing, and cycling hire being available within close proximity. Tynemouth Aquarium is perfect for your little ones, as is Tynemouth Park which has family mini golf, a soft play area and even a boating lake. Tynemouth Village Penthouse is a refreshing getaway for a couple or family looking to explore this wonderful part of the country. Note: This property can be booked with Lovatt House Apartment (Ref. 989529), together sleeping up to 10 guests, perfect for the extended family as it is directly below Tynemouth Village Penthouse.
