About this property

Tucked away in the coastal village of Cullercoats, Tyne and Wear, is this well-equipped property, 8 Hampton Road. Enjoy a great position along the coast, with easy access to a good selection of beaches, along with a city rush of Newcastle, 8 Hampton Road provides an ideal abode for a family seeking an escape to this region of England. Park up in the off-road parking space before making your way into your new home-from-home. Step into the living/dining room, where you can curl up beside the gas fire and pop on the TV for some entertainment. Move into the kitchen, where the house chef can impress with a hearty dish, utilising a cooker and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and there’s even a dishwasher to help clean up! Step outside and relish in the enclosed lawned garden, where you'll find a Summer house with woodburner, a real treat in the winter months. When sleep calls, retire to the first floor where you can discover three well-equipped rooms, including two doubles and a single, each neutrally presented. Wash away the day in the bathroom, choosing between a blissful soak or refreshing rinse. Wake up from a leisurely slumber and rustle up a morning coffee before embarking into the local village to find some breakfast delights. Brush up on the local history with a stop off at the Tynemouth Priory and Castle, the Tynemouth Volunteer Life Brigade Museum, and the Tynemouth Pier Lighthouse. Those keen golfers will find superb clubs at Tynemouth and Whitley Bay, or if that isn’t your thing, why not enjoy a picnic in Tynemouth Park or a wildlife rich walk through the Marden Quarry Nature Reserve? For a change of scenery, head into the city of Newcastle and discover a wealth of shops, eateries, and a vibrant nightlife, or head to Tynemouth and explore the trendy bars and restaurants it has to offer. Expect all this and more at 8 Hampton Road.

The urbanised area of Cullercoats is situated on the North East coast between Tynemouth and Whitley Bay. The settlement, which was established in 1539, relied largely on fishing as well as a nearby coal mine pit to power salt pans used to export salt and coal from Cullercoats port. The community is home to distinctive architecture, featuring Victorian terraces next to the coast and surviving fishermen's houses resting along a lengthy Simpson Street. The Cullercoats Fish Lass, a well-known song by Edward Corvan about the locale, was written in 1862, and Winslow Home, an American artist, was a member of the "Cullercoats Colony." Cullercoats is now a popular vacation spot for families because of its long, sandy beach, where you can take a plunge in the water, and its arcade-lined promenade. Cullercoats has a wide selection of delectable restaurants, with traditional fish & chips as its specialty. Tynemouth and Whitley Bay are both only one mine distant from the settlement.
