Barnard Castle 6.2 miles. Settled on the outskirts of the small village of Copley which lies around six miles north of Barnard Castle, is this contemporary single-storey cottage, Leadmill Piggery. If arriving in the dark hard to read the instructions and navigate. Once we arrived in the location of the cottage there were about 6 properties. Leadmill Piggery didn't have a sign on the property or the wall or anything. If we'd been given a 'Pin' on Goggle Maps, or something like that would have been so much easier.

We therefore had to spend our evenings in the accommodation and although lovely the sofa wasnât the comfiest and the bed was very uncomfortable. This could be improved with possibly a topper and definitely new pillows .Nice place however had we known there was no pub in walking distance we wouldnât have booked

As on our previous visit, we found the Piggery to be clean, comfortable with everything that we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The weather outside was cold, but inside it was warm and cosy. The property is well situated to travel to beauty spots in the area. Amanda and John are fantastic hosts who stay in the background but they are there if you need them. This is a little piece of heaven and we will be back as soon as we can.
