This characterful cottage makes a great base for families or groups of four of which to explore the beautiful county of Durham. The property has stunning views over the fields to Monks Moor with one of the bedrooms looking onto this. Step inside the property and be greeted by the welcoming embrace of the spacious living room, home to a contemporary woodburning stove and two lovely sofas which you can kick back and relax on at the end of an action-packed day. Turn on the TV and enjoy a quiet night indoors with a fabulous blockbuster movie or grab a game from the striking mahogany unit, for some friendly competition. Head into the charming country kitchen and discover a range of well-thought appliances behind the pretty cream cabinets, to help you cook up a fantastic feast for all to enjoy around the dining table. Take the evening outside to the garden to find a tranquil hot tub, where you and your friends can indulge in a relaxing dip as you watch the sun begin to set over the stunning rolling countryside. Retreat to the summer house where you can enjoy a game of dominoes or head into the warmth of the conservatory and enjoy drinks as you sit and discuss your plans for the week ahead. Enjoy a countryside hike through the Upper Teesdale National Nature Reserve or head to the historic market town of Barnard Castle with lots of interesting shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs, beauticians, salons, Bowes Museum and golf course.
