If your trip is during the summer, you will benefit from its folding doors spilling on to the spacious outdoors with woodland views and gorgeous flower garden - the owner is a florist and has her cutting garden on the farm - but, if you come during the winter months, you'll be able to hunker down in cosy contentment with the wood burning stove and underfloor heating in true Hygge fashion. It has a well-equipped kitchen offering all the mod-cons to attract foodies who love to cook on holiday, a super-king handmade bed and wall-mounted Smart television in the bedroom as well as in the open-plan living area and large power shower in the contemporary bathroom. Outside, there is parking and an electric car charging point.

The Lavender Shack, situated on the edge of the wonderful Waveney Valley is the perfect location to explore all that Norfolk and Suffolk has to offer. With scenic countryside on your doorstep for walking, you are only a few minutes' drive away from paddle boarding and canoeing on the River Waveney; and from the traditional unspoilt market town of Bungay with its delicious delis, cafes and independent shops; only six miles from Beccles, gateway to the Norfolk Broads; and less than twenty miles to Southwold and Suffolk's other numerous sandy beaches and stunning coastal towns and villages. Norfolk's medieval main city, Norwich, is only fifteen miles away, and the outstanding North Norfolk coast can be reached within the hour.
