Situated in a quiet residential spot but close to beautiful Sheringham beach and lots of great places to eat, drink and shop, Woodland is the perfect retreat for families looking for a great coastal getaway.
Boasting light and airy accommodation throughout, it has been decorated and furnished to provide a really lovely place to spend your coastal holiday. Sheringham itself is a sought-after seaside town and has a unique high street that is just lovely to explore. It is also home to the historic North Norfolk Railway and Sheringham Park offering acres of walks amongst the plants, flowers and wildlife. It has a mainline railway too, which will whisk you away to the popular seaside town of Cromer, or on to Wroxham, gateway to the impressive Norfolk Broads, and even into the medieval city of Norwich. You may be tempted to park up at Woodlands and spend your days sunbathing, swimming or just walking on the beach, with evenings discovering great local boutique bistros and restaurants.
Venture a little further however and you will find salt marshes, sand or shingle beaches and picturesque quays aplenty. Make time for a spot of crabbing at Blakeney, or perhaps a seasonal boat trip out to see the seals. Alternatively, stroll along the famous pier in Cromer and stop for a cold drink or coffee and a spot of people watching. For a change of pace, explore Norwich castle, the best example of its kind in the UK, then relax with some retail therapy at the award-winning market or in the twisty Lanes.
Head to the Broads and join a day tour, or even charter your own launch and be captain of the ship as you drift along these peaceful waterways. Add in Bewilderwood, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, Bure Valley Railway, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and rspb Cley Marshes, the Felbrigg, Blickling, Holkham and Sandringham Estates, Amazonia Zoo and a host of other attractions too and you’re sure to book in for another week at wonderful Woodland just to fit it all in. Great cottage , great communication with owner. The location to the seaside town was brilliant. Shops were very close to stock up the fridge. The welcome pack was lovely and very generous from the owner. Everything was perfect , have already booked again for next year. Thoroughly recommended for a great time in Sheringham.

A modern, well presented and very comfortable house. It is well equipped and was spotlessly clean on arrival. There is a large drive at the front with space for 2 or 3 cars. The owner contacted us before arrival about the welcome pack to check for any allergies or special requirements, which was a nice touch. The cottage is about 15 minutes' walk from the town centre which may be an issue for some but was not for us, both in our 70s. We welcomed the quiet location. There are also some nice-looking woodland walks nearby although we didn't explore them. A very good experience overall. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay at Woodland. The house is modern, spacious and well equipped, and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed sitting out in the lovely enclosed garden.Beds were comfortable. The smallest bedroom is listed as a sofa bed, but was set up with a proper mattress so was just as comfortable as a normal bed. Location is good, very peaceful setting and only a short walk from the town centre. We also enjoyed a walk on the Sheringham/Beeston commons, which can be accessed at the end of the street. Communication with the host was good and accessing the property was easy. The lovely welcome hamper was a really nice touch - thank you. We visit regularly and would definitely choose to stay here again in future.
