Driftwood House in Sheringham is a spacious and comfortable cottage, praised for its excellent location close to the sea, shops, and transport links. Guests appreciate the homely feel, well-equipped kitchen, lovely garden, and inviting conservatory. The property is generally warm and welcoming, with comfortable beds and attractive décor. While some guests noted areas for improvement such as cleaning, minor maintenance, and the lack of wardrobes or blackout curtains, the overall experience is very positive, making it a popular choice for returning visitors.
Most guests found the property clean and comfortable, but several reviews mention the need for a deeper clean, with specific references to dust, rubbish left behind, and tired kitchen utensils. The majority of feedback is positive, but recurring comments about cleanliness and maintenance lower the score.
The location is consistently praised as excellent, with easy access to the beach, high street, shops, cafes, and public transport. Some mention parking can be challenging at times, but this does not detract significantly from the overall positive impression.
Guests frequently highlight the comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and cosy atmosphere. The house is described as warm and homely, with pleasant décor and a relaxing garden. Minor suggestions for improvement include blackout curtains and more wardrobe space.
The cottage is well equipped, with a good kitchen, bath, stove, and conservatory. Some guests noted dated areas, tired utensils, and minor maintenance issues (e.g., shower cubicle, WiFi, and TV). Overall, facilities are appreciated but could benefit from updates and small repairs.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or special touches such as milk or treats on arrival, and one review specifically notes the absence of these. While the house is described as homely and well-loved, guests should note that gifts or extras are not guaranteed.

Then you can return to Driftwood House to relax and have a great night’s sleep…

We had a lovely stay in Driftwood House. It was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had plenty of kitchen equipment. We couldn't use the conservatory as it was unbearably hot, but it wasn't a problem as it was warm enough to sit in the garden. The only improvement would be wardrobes in the main bedrooms. Most evenings when we returned home, we were able to park outside the house - there was only one occasion when we had to park in a neighbouring road. The location is very quiet, even with the trains running past the bottom of the garden, and it's only a few minutes walk to lots of shops, cafes, the beach and the train station.

We love Driftwood House we have already booked for next year, However we have booked this for the last 3 years and note there was little in the way of cleaning equipment, could do with a few more. Only gripe is the WiFi there was none available throughout the week the same as last year. We are not ones who are literally stuck to our phones but at times this is needed. The games TV also seems a waste of time. Still must like it as we have booked again

Driftwood House is a lovely house and garden in the center of Sheringham within easy walking distance of the coast. There are good pubs and places to eat, favourites were Guac&Mole and the Salt Cafe, both on the promenade. Some reviews mentioned car parking being an issue which it was not, we could park outside or very nearby.
