A short 1km private path leads directly to the beach, while a common seal colony inhibits this stretch of coast, with seals often spotted offshore.

This semi-detached property is part of a pair of cottages that can be hired together for larger groups. Laid out over two storeys and fully renovated throughout, this charming holiday home has a relaxed rural elegance and a homely and welcoming ambience. The inviting lounge is a hub of relaxation with plush sofas, a Smart TV and a warming wood burner. Rustle up tasty treats in the chic, farmhouse-style kitchen or fire up the BBQ in the spacious and private enclosed garden. With a small dining table in the kitchen and plenty of outdoor seating, you have the option of dining in or out. When it’s time to rest your head, choose between a double bedroom on the ground floor or a king-size room upstairs. In keeping with many houses of this era, the family bathroom is downstairs.

Backed by trees and sand dunes, Waxham beach is a true gem, with the added bonus of being dog friendly year round. There are many walking routes from the farm, including the coastal path where you can watch for seals offshore. During the breeding season, from November to February, you may see seals and their pups on the beach or at the nearby beach of Horsey Gap (1.5 miles). Alternatively head inland to explore the waterways, nature trails and cycle routes of the Norfolk Broads, with Horsey Mere (2 miles) the closest broad.
