Set in a quiet location with just a handful of other properties nearby, Pipistrelle Barn has been lovingly converted into a high end holiday accommodation for discerning guests who are really looking for something special. Boasting lots of original features, which have been carefully coupled with a light and airy contemporary feel, it boasts four bathrooms, three of which are en-suite, a stylish multi-fuel burner and a private hot tub. With a floating landing that sees you walk through the high ceilings on the first floor, this barn really is unique. And, at under 5 miles from the stunning North Norfolk Coast and just 10 miles from the Norfolk Broads, it is also in a great location to explore all that the area has to offer.
Head to the pretty seaside village of Mundesley with its wide sandy beach and unspoilt charm. Then, head west from there and find yourself in Cromer with its famous pier, Edwardian seafront, Amazonia Zoo and cinema. A little further is the bustling market town of Sheringham, popular with holidaymakers and locals alike. Head east to experience all the fun of the fair and explore the golden mile of Great Yarmouth. In fact, all along the coast in both directions you will find a string of coastal villages with various beach habitats, including grassy sand dunes, shingle and sand beaches, and marshes and quays.
History buffs will find much to see and do including The Blickling Estate and the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections. Wildlife and nature fans can explore the Broads, Sheringham Park and Cley Marshes. For those wishing to explore on foot, you will find the nearby market town of North Walsham offers lots of places to eat and drink, and the woods offer picturesque walks. In fact, there is so much to see and do you will be pleased to head back to Pipistrelle Barn after a busy day to relax and unwind in the private hot tub. Beach 4 miles. Very spacious and comfortable with all the amenities provided as expected however there wasn’t details provided on how to heat the hot tub which would have been useful. Overall though we had a great time at Pipistrelle Barn.

A beautiful building in a beautiful part of the world.Unfortunately the property hadn’t been well cleaned. There was an obvious sloppy tea cup mark on a window sill and makeup stains on a carpet that were still fresh on the floor tiles in the bathroom. The carpet on the stairs also needs a good clean as the stains of unclean shoes/wet feet from hot tub were obvious. I also gave the bannister a good clean as there were very grubby hand marks. The bar b q also hadn’t been cleaned.Being on the edge of a farm, there were lots of flies, which we know is a farm problem and not the fault of the property but something to be aware of with food prep as there were loads!The hot tub was fab, the beds really comfy with lovely crisp sheets and plenty of space for everyone in lounge and at dinner table.All in all a good stay but expensive for not clean.

Pipistrelle Barn is a beautiful, well equipped and spacious. The bed linen and beds are of a high quality. Loads of gorgeous places to visit; Holt, Horsey, West Runton and Cromer with Bacton beach & woods practically on your doorstep. Two of the en-suite showers were too hot. After contacting Andrew and advising him, he was only too happy to come out and replace them. Our family of three generations had a wonderful time and would recommend Pipistrelle Barn. Can also highly recommend the local Fish & Chip shop in North Walsham !
