The Old Laundry is a beautifully presented and well-equipped cottage in a peaceful Norfolk village, making it an ideal base for exploring the coast and countryside. Guests consistently praise its comfort, cleanliness, and the warm welcome from the hosts. The property is especially appreciated by families and dog owners, with thoughtful touches such as welcome packs and enclosed gardens. While a few guests noted minor issues with garden gates and occasional cleaning lapses, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Most guests found the cottage spotless, clean, and well maintained, with only a very small number reporting isolated cleaning issues. The majority of reviews highlight high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, quiet, and ideally situated for exploring North Norfolk's coast, countryside, and attractions. While some mention the lack of local shops or pubs within walking distance, the proximity to key destinations is highly valued.

Guests consistently mention the cottage's comfort, cosy atmosphere, and quality furnishings. The property is praised for being warm, spacious, and suitable for families and pets, with only rare comments about personal preferences such as mattress firmness.

The cottage is widely regarded as well equipped, with a modern kitchen, good parking, enclosed garden, EV charger, and thoughtful amenities for families and dog owners. A few minor suggestions for improvement (e.g., garden gates) are noted but do not detract from the overall positive impression.

Many guests mention generous welcome packs, including local produce and fresh eggs, as well as helpful and friendly hosts. While these gifts are frequently appreciated, it should be noted that such gestures are not guaranteed for every stay.

Arrived early called owner she told me it was fine to go in she just needed to put towels in and milk. She came from the other part of the house (photos advertising whole house are very misleading). No welcome whatsoever, my dad got up as she did not come over to us sitting in the garden and asked any places she would recommend visiting she said one place to eat and there are lots of leaflets inside then said there are some slats to put in front of gate so my small dog wouldn't get out bit of a pain to keep doing should get gate covered so enclosed properly, then said the towels were not dry and hung them outside on an airer I don't know why she couldn't have tumble dried so ready for guests (yes we were early but I did say we could come back at 3pm) Before we sat on the chairs in the garden we had to wipe them as they were full of cobwebs and dust, The patio needed weeding badly and later I noticed dog mess already there on the grass I assume from previous people. Also a wire basket full of bottles from previous people not emptied outside. On initial arrival inside the house it seemed fine. The welcome pack was just a few cheap bits in a basket. We went out the rest of the day, getting into bed that night the sheets had human hairs all over so did not sleep well at all, my parents bedding also had hairs and a stain. I asked for all bedding to be changed and it was but still not that clean and still finding hairs on it. Kitchen was dirty, some dirty plates, cutlery and tuperware were found so had to wash before use, inside the fridge and microwave needed a good clean. The kitchen chairs are stained (maybe have washable covers). The bathroom has no shaver/toothbrush socket. Cobwebs in every room, dusty and the flies were very irritating every day (maybe from the chicken farm next door) the floor had not been cleaned at all and was filthy everywhere seems like they don't have a mop and bucket! This holiday let could be a lovely place if it were cleaned properly and got a welcome from the owner in my opinion I think it was quite rude. I can not recommend a stay here because of the above. Everywhere and everything should be throughly cleaned inbetween guests and clearly was not. Set aside the above we had a lovely time exploring Norfolk and would recommend the kings head in letheringsett and the kings head in holt(lovely town) people so friendly. Lots of beach spaces for dogs to go on in cromer and sherringham we will be back to visit Norfolk but definitely not at the old laundry.

Lovely comfortable home well located for north Norfolk. The heat pump worked well and kept everything at a nice temperature. The shower was also nice and the other appliances worked well. We had a nice welcome pack and the landlords were very friendly. It was great to have use of the EV charger. We would certainly book again if we are in the area. We visited Wells, Blakeney, Cromer, Bickling Hall (well worth a visit and dog friendly grounds now). We had a lovely lunch at the Carpenters Arms in Wighton and enjoyed the Jarrolds farm shop at Letheringsett where they do nice cakes and artisan produce.

What a lovely quaint property. Immaculate and in a beautiful location. Fantastic welcome pack and all the rooms were very comfortable. The owners were so friendly and on hand if we needed anything. I would come to this part of the country again as there is so much to do.
