This impressive house on the edge of the family-friendly village of Bacton is ideal for friends or families looking for a seaside get-together. The pool house, heated year-round, and games room make this a wonderful family choice. Less than 300 metres from Reyns Beach and less than a mile from Bacton Beach, both easily accessible on foot, this property is perfectly placed for family fun on the sand. Bacton is a small seaside village where the sandy beach disappears at high tide, so check the tide times before heading out with your bucket and spades.
This welcoming two-storey property is stylishly designed and furnished, creating the perfect setting for celebrations and gatherings. The open-plan sitting/dining area has comfortable sofas for relaxing and a wood burner for the colder months. A second lounge provides a separate space to catch up or read quietly – both lounges have a Smart TV. In the contemporary kitchen is everything necessary to cook a celebratory meal. Downstairs has one double bedroom with an en-suite and a twin bedroom with a shower room next door. Upstairs are three double bedrooms (two have en-suites), a twin bedroom, and a chic bathroom. Outside is a fully enclosed lawn and patio garden to the rear with outdoor seating and a BBQ.
Explore the coast by walking to Mundesley Beach (4 miles) or Happisburgh (3.5 miles), where you can visit the famous, red-striped lighthouse – the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia. Explore some other seaside towns along this beautiful coastline - Cromer (12.5 miles) is a perfect choice with its long, wide sandy beach, opportunities for crabbing and a stroll along the esplanade. Alternatively, head inland and discover some of the area’s rich history with a visit to the Felbrigg Estate (13 miles) or the Jacobean mansion and the huge parkland area at Blickling Hall (14.5 miles).
Mrs Wilson
Excellent holiday cottage for a big family. Lovely having the extra living room and the big bedrooms meant we all had the space we needed. The beach is so close it was excellent. My family loved the short walk to the beach. The pool was the highlight for us. The kids were in it everyday. Shallow end with steps and a deep end. It is also accessed with a key so you feel safe knowing children don’t have access all the time. Kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. We managed to cook our Easter lunch for 11 with the two ovens and the big dining table meant we all were able to sit together and enjoy our afternoon. Bacton area has a small shop, pub and fish and chip shop. All the locals are lovely and friendly. Thank you for making our holiday a great one.
