About this property

Nestled in the civil parish of Grimston, Norfolk, is this historic 18th-century cottage, Well Cottage. Surrounded by lush Norfolk countryside, popular for bird watching, and quiet country roads, and an interior enjoying a wealth of original features, including floorboards, exposed beams and feature fireplaces, Well Cottage is a fantastic choice for couples or a family of four. Upon arrival, you will find two off-road parking spaces to the rear of the property, and a large rear, enclosed garden with furniture and shed for storage. Step inside to find a well-equipped kitchen where you can whip up family favourites, ready to savour at the dining table for four as you recount the days adventures. After dinner, make your way through to the sitting room, where you can kick-back and relax on the plush seating in front of the crackling woodburning stove, as your favourite show plays out on the TV. Completing this floor is a handy utility, and a well-appointed bathroom, complete with bath and separate shower so you can choose how best to freshen up at the end of the day. Head upstairs, where you will find two character-filled bedrooms, a super-king-size and a king-size with zip/link, both with plenty of storage and served by a cloakroom. Explore your surroundings, where you will find a well-stocked shop and Post Office and the welcoming Bells pub and restaurant, ideal for evenings’ when you don’t fancy cooking! There are many lovely walks and cycle routes to explore close by as well as being close to the beautiful Norfolk coast for some great days out. Next stop is Sandringham, where you can tour the esteemed Sandringham Estate, dine at the on-site restaurant, or delve into history at the Sandringham Museum followed by a sweet treat in the Stables Tearoom. Continue onto Snettisham, where you can dine at The Old Bank and the Queen Victoria, explore the Norton Hill Light Railway, or enjoy wildlife rich walks through Snettisham Woods. Further afield, you can visit the popular town of King's Lynn, home to the Lynn Museum, True’s Yard Fisherfolk Museum, the Stories of Lynn Museum, the River Great Ouse Path, Shakespeare’s Barn Guildhall, and the Corn Exchange. All this and more awaits at Well Cottage.

Located in the county of Norfolk, England, around 6 miles north-northeast of King's Lynn lies the civil parish of Grimston. The valley, one of West Norfolk's most revered natural features, may be seen from the Knights Hill Roundabout on the way to Fakenham. The lovely St. Botolph Church dates back to the 10th century, is Grade I listed, and is nestled in appealing gardens within a short distance from the Queen's Sandringham estate. The friendly community features a Premier store, post office, and medical clinic. There are a plethora of walkways across the neighbourhood that are perfect for strolling and taking in the views. Snettisham and Titchwell rspb reserves, both within a short drive, also provide visitors with a variety of things to pick from if they are interested in bird watching. In addition to Roydon Common, where uncommon raptors spend the winter.

Proximity to our family in Grimston was a 2 minute walk, didn’t need a car rental. Very unique place, well maintained and affordable.

So much thought has obviously gone into this property, it is exceptionally well equipped. The beds were so comfortable. Highly recommended property to explore the area and only a few miles from Sandringham.
