An outstanding, premium lodge, this special retreat is set in an enviable position on the edge of picture-postcard Burnham Market. Sleeping four guests, the two-bedroom abode is less than 0.5 miles from the centre of the charming village, where shops, restaurants and gastro pubs overlook the pretty green. The magnificent North Norfolk coast, with its stunning sandy beaches, is just 5 miles away. Head to renowned Holkham, where scenes from major films have been shot against the sweeping golden sands and under the huge blue East Anglian skies. While you are here, visit the impressive stately home and explore its acres of parkland. Venture 6 miles into Wells-next-the-Sea, with its beautiful beach and traditional seaside appeal. At the National Trust’s Morston Quay, 12.5 miles away, you can take a boat trip out to sea the colonies of seals lolling on the sand at Blakeney Point and bobbing in the sea.

Climb the steps up to the patio and let yourselves into the sun-soaked lodge via the hallway. Find space here for your shoes, bags and jackets before moving into the heart of the hideaway, an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Head to the kitchen to unpack the fresh Norfolk produce you have sourced and pop a bottle or two into the wine fridge to cool. Prepare lunch in the chic kitchen area, with the glass doors open on summer days, then perch on a stool at the breakfast bar with a cup of fresh coffee from the machine. The dining area has ample space for four. Spend pleasant evenings together on the comfortable sofa or one of the elegant armchairs in the lounge space. Here you can settle down to movie nights together in front of the Smart TV. When night falls, head through to one of the sumptuous bedrooms. Each of these has an en-suite shower room, walk-in wardrobe, dressing table and Smart TV for long holiday lie-ins. One features a king-size bed, and the other has a super-king-size with zip-and-link beds that can also be made up as a twin by prior agreement. There is also a cloakroom, with an additional WC and a washer/dryer.

Open the patio doors and step out onto the glass-balustraded, fully enclosed, gated patio, where you can enjoy your meals al fresco on fine days, whilst knowing that dogs and children are secure. Relax in the private seating area beside the lodge and enjoy the sun by day and stargazing at night. There is private, off-road parking here for two cars.
