About this property

A super spacious coastal style timber-clad detached house; a simply perfect hideaway and excellent base for couples, families and groups of friends to enjoy North Norfolk throughout the seasons. With easy access to good local amenities, some of North Norfolk's most glorious of beaches, many inland delights, as well as amazing birdlife all on the doorstep, there is something here for everyone to enjoy.

Tucked away, and surrounded by fields and rolling countryside with easy access to country walks from the back of the house, Sandpiper House offers all the benefits of comfortable, contemporary living. Using a palette of muted colours throughout, and with a nod to the nearby coast from decorative items and artworks on the walls, the house has a lovely calm and relaxing vibe. The ground floor living areas are divided by the entrance hallway. To one side, a large open-plan dual aspect sociable kitchen/dining area runs the full length of the house, with enough space for a comfortable seating area at the far end too, where bi-fold doors open to the patio and garden beyond. The kitchen is top notch and, as you might expect, very well equipped. There's a separate sitting room to the other side of the house, also dual aspect, that offers a quieter, more chilled-out option and, with french doors, further access to the garden. In between the two, a useful utility room takes care of the domestic side of life, and there's the convenience of a cloakroom on this level too.

Upstairs, on the first floor, are four rather luxe beautifully furnished bedrooms, two king-size and two twin, all beds with deep quality mattresses. The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room, and there is also a large family bathroom with a bath and separate shower cubicle. Sandpiper House is a light and airy comfortably furnished property where every little detail has been considered to make sure your holiday is complete and hassle free. The enclosed sunny rear garden is ideal for dining al fresco in the summer months.

Ingoldisthorpe is a small, quiet village between the busier villages of Snettisham and Dersingham, on the Wash coast. Within easy walking distance, there are good shops in both villages, each one has a popular pub serving great food, and Snettisham has the extremely popular ‘Old stores’ serving breakfast, brunch and lunch all day. Some of the best family and dog friendly beaches the coast has to offer are a short drive away from the house. Sandringham House, walks in Wild Ken Hill, rsbp at Snettisham and Houghton Hall are close by, and there's some wonderful walking in on the Peddars Way and North Norfolk Coastal path, all a short drive away. Snettisham Park Farm very popular with families is a short walk across the fields (or a five minute drive away) where you can meet the resident deer (which can also be seen by walking across the fields at the back of the house).

Sandpiper House can also be booked as a sleeps four option, with two of the bedrooms closed off, see listing for details.

Wow - What a fabulous retreat from our usual hectic lives! The house is a real find, and we've been absolutely delighted with whole experience. We loved the stylish calming interiors, the comfy beds and all the lovely attention to detail. The art work is a great touch! when we weren't hanging in the lounge or dining room sofa, we particularly enjoyed Burnham Market (the quiche) the seals, and fish and chips at Snettisham beach. We are also pleased that we could visit the flowers at Sandringham ahead of the Queen's funeral on Monday. We lucked out with the weather and have seen the best of English sunsets. Thank you for having us. We'll be back xx
