Nestled at the end of a lane, Fantail is located on the edge of the charming village of Harpley. This house is one of two that are situated on either side of The Windmill which stands proudly in the middle. Upon entering Fantail, you will find it to be filled with light, airy, attractively and comfortably furnished, and well-equipped. The overall ambience is one of calm and relaxation, while also tempting you to explore and discover the local area and further afield.
The spacious interior features a generous open-plan living space on the ground floor, which flows from a modern, well-fitted kitchen to a dining area and continues to a seating area at the far end, the room highlighted by the curved brick wall of the windmill running up to the ceiling. A glass balustrade mezzanine on the upper level overlooks the room below, and provides an additional seating area, perhaps for reading or a game of chess (a set is provided).
With a bedroom on each level, a king-size on the first floor, and a double on the ground floor, both dressed with fine Egyptian cotton linen and with their own bathroom, the house lends itself to older families, couples, or friends who value the luxury of private facilities and space while enjoying a getaway together. The garden curves from the front round to the side of the house, is fully enclosed by stylish steel woven fencing, and picnic seating to the front and side, offer different aspects of the superb open views beyond.

Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge).
Children over the age of ten are welcome.
Dogs must be kept on leads in the communal area.
Hypoallergenic bedding provided.
Please bring your own pods for the Nespresso coffee machine (standard size).

Lovely Easter break in Fantail. Really cool Property in a converted mill with super modern renovation and all the required amenities. The house was spotless when we came in and the host was very responsive to all my questions. The village itâs set in a peaceful and gorgeous and itâs only 20 mins drive from Heacham beach, a lovely dog friendly beach. If you love tennis, itâll be even better for you. I highly recommend staying in this property, and sure that youâll enjoy it if you do.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. Fantail is so well equipped, it's so nice to go somewhere and not have to pack up the kitchen sink! We have spent some lovely (windy) days walking on Brancaster beach, had a lovely evening meal at The King's Head country hotel, and have had some fantastic bacon sandwiches at The Bircham Store, would recommend all of the above. It's worth a run to Langham Glass for a demonstration (45 mins). Thank you for fabulous communication, a spotless house and crisp white bedding!! We will definitely be back.

Had the most fantastic time in this unique property. We saw snow for the first time in Norfolk! Fantail is close to many great villages and beaches. We went to Brancaster, Wells and Holkham. Ate at The Hero, Dabbling Duck and The Lifeboat. My husband loved the well equipped kitchen and underfloor heating was great in the extremely cold weather - the dogs loved it! Thank you so much for the relaxing stay - ready to begin 2026 now! We will definitely be back.
