Perfect enough for families celebrating a special birthday or anniversary, or for a stylish get-away. Located within its own landscaped garden at the edge of the village, this spacious and commanding detached house offers fine countryside views. The gorgeous indoor heated swimming pool, with Roman steps leading into the water, is integrated into the house and is exclusively for Cherry Ridge guests. There is also a games area in the Cart Barn with a table tennis table and table football, sure to keep all the family entertained! The owner also thoughtfully provides bathrobes.
Great Bircham itself has a village shop, post office, pub, playing field and a windmill (open April until end of September) with a bakery, tea room and goats and sheep to feed and pet. Climb to the top for a fantastic view.
Lying just 8 miles away, the beautiful Norfolk coastline provides plenty of cycle routes and coastal walks, with superb bird watching to be experienced at the rspb Titchwell Marsh. The lively seaside town of Hunstanton has lots of traditional attractions with long stretches of sandy beaches and rock pools, along with a Sea Life Centre, shops, inns, restaurants and excellent sports facilities including bowls, tennis, golf and watersports, making it a popular venue with families. The neighbouring resort of Heacham, home to Norfolk Lavender, has uncrowded sandy beaches where a day by the sea can be spent with a picnic. For the more adventurous, sea fishing and boat trips can be arranged to Scolt Head Island nature reserve, where you can spot the seal colonies. Couples holidaying together or families with children will be well catered for as there is something that would appeal to all tastes and ages.
At Brancaster, 8 miles away, a large beach, excellent for sailing and windsurfing, together with world-class golf, is ideal for keeping all the family entertained. The historic towns of Kings Lynn, Fakenham and Holt lie within easy reach and provide a selection of shops, theatres, inns and restaurants. Stately homes in the area include Sandringham Estate (grounds open all year round, house open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence), Holkham and Houghton Halls and the historical ruins of Castle Acre and Priory. Beach 8 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

This house was everything l had hoped it would be to help me celebrate my 70th birthday, along with my husband, daughter & her family & son & his family. 10 of us including children aged 11, 8, 6 & 3.The information supplied before the stay was very helpful & comprehensive. The contact from the manager was equally very good. The house itself met all our needs. The pool was absolutely amazing and entertained everyone any time we were actually in the house. The rooms met all our needs, the kitchen being particularly well equipped & furnished. All the linen was of a very high standard. The garden is very generously sized. The kids - younger ones & the old ones - enjoyed the play barn too. It is the perfect place for a large family to celebrate. The area is also well placed to meet everyone’s needs, whether that is countryside or the beach and amusements. There are also lovely pubs & restaurants nearby. The only two observations - and they are that & not criticisms - would be that the patio could do with a bit of a refurb and a mirror in the main downstairs bedroom would have been handy (especially to make sure this 70yr old look good on her birthday!)We had a fantastic weekend & would not hesitate in recommending this house.
