Sea Star is a much-loved family home, filled with original artwork from its artist owners and dressed in a relaxed, shabby-chic boho style rather than a showroom finish. It’s the kind of place with real character - a little eclectic, a little worn-in, and all the more homely for it. There is plenty of space on offer so that you can choose to spend quality time with your loved ones or enjoy your own pursuits. The spacious open plan kitchen/dining room is fully equipped to delight any chef, with the large dining table (seats 8 adults) it’s perfect to celebrate any occasion in style, also being a great socialising space without leaving the master chef of the group. The living room has a wood burner, perfect to snuggle beside during those cooler evenings and offers comfy sofas (please note logs are supplied during the colder months only, so bring your own if you’re visiting outside that period and hoping for a fire).. Here you can enjoy quality time together with good conversation or enjoy a film.
There are four spacious bedrooms, the first bedroom is located downstairs having a kingsize double bed and easy access to the ground floor shower room with walk-in shower facility, making it an ideal choice for guests wanting to avoid any stairs. On the first floor there are three further bedrooms, the master kingsize double with large window enjoys panoramic sea views, also boasting an en-suite shower facility, another kingsize double and a quad bedroom having bunk beds and two single beds, a popular choice with the children. The family bathroom is located at first floor and has a bath with a shower over.
To the rear of the house is large coastal garden with paved patio area, an outdoor dining table, chairs and sun loungers. A gas barbecue is provided for guests to enjoy. The garden has superb views seaward across Winterton valley. The garden gate and path lead directly onto the dunes and the beach beyond. (The public access wooden stairs are steep and uneven and may not be suitable for those with mobility issues). At the front is a secondary seating area with garden furniture and Mediterranean style garden. The gardens are fully enclosed and safe for children and dogs. There is plentiful off road parking for up to four cars at the property.
The location is exceptional to explore all the delights the North Norfolk Coastline and the famous Norfolk Broads National Park. Discover the popular coastal and traditional seaside resorts of Great Yarmouth for fun at the fair, Caister with amusements and castle ruins, Sea Palling, all having great sandy beaches. Shopaholics head to the medieval city of Norwich with two indoor shopping malls, market square and plenty of eateries. For those seeking culture and history, why not visit the Blickling Hall Estate, Flebbrigg Hall, Sheringham Gardens, the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections. The young at heart will enjoy a day out at Bewilderwood in Horning, Dinosaur Adventure Park at Lenwade, Banham Zoo or Amazonia Zoo in Cromer. Birdwatchers will delight at rspb Nature Reserve Marshes of Blakeney, Cley Next the Sea and Salthouse. Shop, pub, and fish and chip shop 800 yards. Beach 81 yards.

Winterton on Sea is a lovely area with picturesque beaches and sand dunes. It is perfect for dog owners and there are good shops including a cosy cafe, fish & chippy, and post office stores.Hemsby, Caister-on-Sea and Great Yarmouth are all nearby. Just North of Winterton is the village of Horsey and at the beach you can watch the seals.We enjoyed our stay but found the furnishings uncomfortable and dated. It looked as if it needed a revamp and this was the downside of our stay.

On arrival you're hit by a real wow moment., the view of the sea is absotlutely stunning! Layout of the property is great and its well furnished. The kitchen has a comprehensive array of utensils, cutlery and crockery. The garden both front and back are totally in keeping with a rental property, lots of interest and plenty of seating. The beds were comfortable and duvets etc were of a good standard. However, we had to wash all the crockery that we used as they felt sticky/tacky. The decor is in need of updating and a deep clean. The ensuite in the bedroom had an awful smelly drain and water drainage was an issue. The plug in the sink did not not work. Also when someone used the main bathroom upstairs the water pressure in the ensuite was compromised. But the water was hot and the central heating system was very good.Ps the boat sandpit in the garden was amazing and we would of loved to bring it home for the grand children! 😀

TLC required, whilst the facilities, view and position are all very good, the property is in need of a little update with decoration. Some of the windows and doors especially the French doors, are a little dated and not helped by the salt air, some of the garden furniture is a little worse for wear but the sun loungers are a nice touch and having seating in the front garden when the late sun is at the front was a bonus, all in all for a holiday let it’s good.
