Sheltered and peaceful, with a 0.25-acre enclosed garden, this thatched gem nestles at the end of a row of three pretty 17th century cottages. Set in a traditional Broadland village, the local pub serving good food and a shop are within 100 yards. Cycle hire, Hickling Water Trail, fishing, boat hire and Potter Heigham, all within 3 miles. Sandy beach with bathing 5 miles. Norwich 18 miles. Shop and pub serving food 100 yards.

our second stay at Rose Cottage, and already booked for next year. Walking into kitchen (main door) was just like coming home. We love this cottage and our dogs love the large garden. Catfield is really convenient for the lovely beaches along Norfolk coast. The pub, almost next door is friendly, not only for dogs, but also well behaved owners as well.Only thing I would change is the internet access; when we stayed a couple of years ago, there was no internet or phone signal, which we were quite happy about. This year there was very intermittent internet access, which I found frustrating, constantly chasing the two to three minute windows. would have been happier with none.

A beautiful little thatched cottage with a lovely garden. The upstairs bedroom is unsuitable for those with limited mobility but it wasn't a problem for us. A nice welcoming gift was left for us too. Non overlooked and plenty to do in the surrounding area. A nice pub next door that is also dog friendly. Unfortunately, we had to leave a day earlier than planned but, all in all, a wonderful holiday cottage.
