Overall it was comfortable and a nice place to stay, however...The 'well equipped kitchen' comments were maybe a little old. It was well equipped but not necessarily in good working order and not entirely clean. The champagne flutes didn't match (bit jumble sale feel). That said the wine glasses did, and there were plenty. Hot tub was great but I didn't see details (at time of booking) that said you had to walk out the front door and round to the back garden to access it (we got used to that). Likewise that it was a shared garden, but that wasn't a problem at all.The shower could use a little TLC - more water shot from the bottom of the heating unit on the wall, than from the shower head.Mattresses need replacing - they were a bit 'thin', and be aware that the two single beds in the second bedroom cannot be zip-linked even though the booking system lists it as an 'extra'.Online, photos showed a dining table in the kitchen (makes for more social cooking/eating) but it had been moved into the next room (reading room), and in its place was a sofa and coffee table. This wasn't ideal. It would be nice to have outside lights so we could have used the hot tub later in the evening without using a torch to get in and out.Like I said at the start, overall it was good, but not GREAT.

Owner obviously cared about the user experience across many aspects throughout the house. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and there was more than ample crockery considering it is only 2 bedroom house. Shared garden wasn't a problem with access to furniture cushions being easy. Our hot tub was very private though you had to go out front door which was on the main road to access the garden and therefor the hot tub. But, owner acknowledged this in the welco.e information and provided helpful tips alongside seperate large towels in a basket specifically to help the situation. Only point to consider is the house sits on a busy country lane which leads into the village with a school being at the end of the road. We couldn't keep the bedroom window open at night as traffic started around 7am. Excellent location to use as a base for seeing the area. It was a quirky house which was lovely.

We loved where the accomodation was being about an hour's drive to any of the attractions we visited. The cottage was comfortable & the cooking equipment was better than some cottages we've stayed in.
