As you arrive its a great first impression. Lovely looking property. Private without being too remote. Welcome pack was a lovely surprise together with tea and filter coffee and milk in the fridge got us off to a good start.Wifi kept us in touch and smart tv for the rainy days and dark evenings! There's a washing machine, i thought it was a washer dryer at first but nowhere to hang out wet stuff. Personally i would have had a small dryer than dishwasher! No tea towels, seems a small thing but fortunately we had some with us. However I know I could have asked for some. Owners close by and very personable.Beds comfy and linen was lush. The bedrooms and ensuites were very nicely decorated.Sofas are very low slung, so beware those with dodgy hips!Watching the wildlife was entertaining. As for the fishing, the lake needs some tlc. Whilst it's great to keep it as natural as possible the weed and algae needs keeping in check as its both on top and on the bottom of the lake. It is taking over to the detriment of any fish that are still there. Realise the weather this year hasn't helped. We had hoped for some small tench and crucians (my husband's favourite) but it wasn't to be and he didn't catch a thing. This review isn't meant to be negative just our personal perspective. Its a lovely, lovely property in an easily accessible location, in secluded and beautiful surroundings.

Excellent accommodation within 6 acres of grounds & lake, an abundance of wild life such as Muncjack, Roe deer, hares, too many birds to mention & the occasional grass snake.
