If you appreciate the countryside, bird life, wild life and the amount of work the owners put into this location, you will appreciate Stillwater. The property was well equipped and very comfortable - great laying in bed and watching all that was going on outside, the squirrels, deer,, magpies et.Yes, if the opportunity occurs, yes we would return.

We had a great stay at Stillwater. Upon arrival Jamie’s and Katie came over to introduce themselves and welcome us, and could always be contacted if needed (no need).The cottage is spacious and clean with everything you could need. The fire pit/BBQ was used twice for dinner sat at the lake.There’s a lovely welcome pack awaiting your arrival including some treats for our dog.The grounds are well kept with regular wildlife visitors and the lake is perfect for introducing someone to fishing (a small tench every cast)

Stunning location. Very Peaceful and tranquil. Accommodation was lovely. Owners are lovely. Even offered us an earlier check-in to enjoy the location. My only observation was there were no bathroom toiletries or robes, wash cloths (or decent size towel) to utilise the very lovely outside bath when getting out (now its not heatwave weather) which is something I have found in similar properties has been standard in this price bracket and where there has been a hot tub for example. Overall it is an amazing location and of course you are paying for peaceful seclusion and no humans!From a photographer aspect it does not disappoint although the kingfisher was teasing by flying about but never saw it land. Birds of prey a plenty (Buzzards, kites, kestrels) heard a Tawny Owl also hares and muntjacs and variety of smaller birds, pheasant etc.
