The village of Windermere is just 1 mile away, while Ambleside, Coniston and Grasmere are all with easy reach. Or why not take the car ferry that still crosses the lake between Ferry Nab and Ferry House, and provides a convenient approach to the western side of the lake for access to the villages of Hawkshead and Sawrey. Very nice cottage in an excellent location, has everything you need. lovely and clean, very nice bathroom. Our only thing we would suggest is a new mattress on the king bed on first floor, it has big dips in it and we had to swap with our son and sleep in the twin room, it didn't ruin our stay and I would highly recommend .
