Apartment is lovely, clean and tidy, just the right size for a family of 4It’s up a staircase, but once in the apt, it is all on one level 10 mins walk to the town by the lake and a parking space is a definite bonus, especially in the busy months Welcome gift was a lovely touch Plenty of places to eat right on the doorstep Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a short break in the lakes

We had a lovely week in Bowness at Claife. The accommodation was clean, well equipped and warm. The location was perfect and gave us a few days without having to use the car at all and the parking was good. The only thing that really wants to be addressed is the double bed. It was so unbelievably uncomfortable it was a real issue for us. You don’t expect it to be perfect because it can’t suit everybody but this was the worst we’ve experienced. We spent the days walking for miles, so by bedtime we were absolutely shattered and still couldn’t get a decent nights sleep in it. It was so hard. This little flat and its location were fab in every other respect, and if the bed was better I’d be rebooking immediately for next year, sadly this won’t be the case because a decent a night sleep is really important.
