The snug is a great place to base yourself if you'd like to explore the Lake District and has lots of places to eat and drink nearby. The kitchen is small but has everything you need except a washing machine(an oversight on my side). There is lots of information about the area ,walks, activities etc.. in the Snug. All the information provided beforehand like access, bins, directions etc.. was spot on .

I can only echo what other reviewers have said. The Snug is perfectly positioned, a short walk away from the centre of Bowness with a vast array of shops, bars and restaurants. Despite that it's surprisingly quiet and relaxing. The apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything you need including a very comfy king size bed. My only gripe if I had to have one would be the kitchen. Its very small and the fridge is positioned at one end directly opposite the door. This meant you had to close the door before you could open the fridge. And then it opened into the room so I found myself having to wedge into the corner of the room behind the door in order to open the fridge and be able to reach inside. I don't understand why the door isn't just rehung to open the other way. The oven is at the other end of the room and does exactly the same thing. Bit dangerous having to reach over the open door to get hot food out. All that being said it wouldn't stop us staying there again.

Excellent central point for everything in Bowness, walking distance for Windermere, The lake and train station. The apartment was very clean and well laid out, just right for s couple, enjoyed our stay there
