We really enjoyed our stay at the flowing river, it was perfect for our intended use of walking by day and relaxing in the evenings. Very good value for money and a brilliant location for exploring south lakes; just 15 minutes from Ulverston town who offer many pubs and restaurants and a booths supermarket for all your essentials, about 35mins from Windemere and 45mins from Grasmere. There is a few hotels and inns around in walking distance if you wished to visit one close to the apartment. So we found it very easy to get around for our planned walks whether that be by car or by bus as we saw lots of buses in use around the area at all times of day. Free designated parking outside the apartment block was very welcomed and made our stay more easy taking the worry of parking away. The apartment was very clean, very well equipped kitchen and had everything you needed for self catering, maybe a few more pieces of cutlery would be helpful if you were staying for longer periods of time and planning on eating most meals in the accomdation. The dishwasher tablets and tea bags left were very welcomed, thank you! The Smart TV offering all freeview channels and the use of Netflix and iPlayer was great and kept our evenings busy. The bed was super comfy with lots of extra bedding if it was cold and the central heating was easy to work to keep us comfortable during the cold spell we experienced during our visit, use the manual given to work this out otherwise it can drop very cold! The river view at the back of the apartment was just gorgeous, very quiet area so you can hear the river flowing from your bedroom (bliss!). We could imagine revisiting to take advantage of sitting outside to eat in the warmer months. Check out was super simple with the only request being to remove your rubbish before you leave in the bins outside provided; this is very fair and we would have done this anyway. The only things we would comment on for improvements is that the sofa wasn't very comfortable, this is probably just due to wear of the cushions as they seemed too flat when sat on and didn't provide much support. Also the shower pressure was dreadful and we couldn't get the temperature to be very warm, it took about 25 minutes to run a bath due to the low pressure and by this time, the bath was pretty much too cold to enjoy due to the very low temperatures. The bathroom was very modern and very clean but the shower pressure does need looking into, we found ourselves showering for longer to adequaltely remove soap and shampoo and shivering from the cold temperatures, this wasn't the most pleasant experience! We did feel a check in time of 4pm and check out time of 10am did cut into your stay but we understand there must be time for cleaning between guests, we just haven't experienced such an early check out and late check in before and felt like we lost a whole day between these times. We would hope our comments would be taken on board for the future as we would love to revisit again after these small changes.

Lovely accommodation, very clean. Very quiet and relaxing area. Found it hard to locate the parking space in the dark as the numbers didnt follow on. Also found it hard to find the key safe and a neighbour had to direct me. Once I sorted those problems it was a lovely place to stay.
