The Hollies has been refurbished in 2018 and is ideally placed to enjoy walks from the door to take advantage of its particularly picturesque location. The nearby Hawkshead ferry crossing offers easy access to the west of the lake. Nearby typical Lakeland villages offer pubs with open fires, good beer and menus, taking advantage of the excellent locally sourced produce. Head into Bowness, for an eclectic mix of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants. Set on the edge of Lake Windermere, Bowness has a truly Lakeland feel and stunning views across the lake throughout the year. A wander up the hill from Bowness to Windermere offers guests further shops, many fine independent retailers, and an excellent choice of eateries. Beach 19 miles. Great location and flat. Please replace or at least deep clean the mattres and protector. Excellent location and a nice apartment. Great to have a parking space as well. Would visit again. Guests are asked to strip the bedding. That is not a good idea as the mattres and protector were very badly stained and not pleasant to see.

Hollies apartment was perfect for our stay in Bowness. Great location, easy parking. Would definitely recommend.well equipped clean and modern.only one niggle the bed was too small.

The apartment was nice and in a good location with everything on the doorstep. However wouldn't stay again due to the noise & loud music heard from the restaurant below till 11pm each night. And from 6.30am each day when they start setting up the tables and chairs dragging them across the floors. The bedding and towels had also seem better days. They were badly stained and didn't smell too clean.
