We’ve stayed at this accommodation before and chose it again as it’s in an idealLocation just outside Bowness with parking, the beds are all very comfy, it’s got everything you’d want and has 2 bathrooms, you couldn’t ask for more for the price 😊

Visitor to Storrs Retreat
The flat itself was nice enough inside and spacious. The complex it was in though was soulless. Like staying in a white elephant development. Reminded me of Port Meirion . Looks like a real place but is just a pastiche of a proper place. The remoteness from bowness itself is a problem as there is almost nowhere you can get to on foot. The main road is dangerous for pedestrians having no pavement for half the distance into bowness. The surrounding alternative byways rejoice in a “private road” status some emphatically stating “No public right of way” on boards where they meet the main road erected by the residents who have clearly been allowed to privatise them! The experience of bowness’s hospitality has left me sure i’ll never return. Card only payment for all the public loos was emblematic of the attitude of the place.
