The property itself was clean and in a lovely location, and I'm sure it would be a comfortable stay in more normal weather. However, we stayed during the recent heatwave and unfortunately the accommodation wasn't equipped to cope with it.The listing stated that fans were provided, but there weren't any. As we were travelling with our dog, this became a real issue. The upstairs living area reached 33°C, making it too hot to spend much time there with him. The downstairs bedrooms, with their stone floors, were noticeably cooler, but that meant spending most of our time sitting in a bedroom with very limited views, rather than enjoying the living space we'd booked. The Velux windows also meant we couldn't have them open when it rained, despite it still being around 30°C indoors, so there was very little airflow. Given that this is a barn conversion without a proper garden (just a small courtyard), I do think fans should be provided as advertised, particularly during warmer periods.Granted this wouldn't be an issue in cooler weather, but our experience was significantly affected by the lack of ventilation and the missing fans.
