This cosy apartment has all the creature comforts one needs for their self-catering holiday and it makes the ideal base from which to explore the central and southern lakes. The bright, open plan living/dining space incorporates a contemporary fitted kitchen and has views of Lake Windermere, which is just a 10-minute walk from the apartment. There are two comfortable bedrooms and a family bathroom which completes the accommodation.
Being so central means that you can enjoy all of the town’s shops, bars, cafés and restaurants without having to negotiate town centre traffic and parking charges. Whilst the apartment is well equipped for self-catering, it is hard not to be tempted by all the nice cafés and restaurants which are all within a few minutes’ walk, and offer many different cuisines including Thai, Indian and Chinese. In addition to the wide variety of eateries, there is a traditional cinema and Bowness-on-Windermere is also home to the World of Beatrix Potter attraction which families with young children will adore. Other family friendly places to visit include the South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lakes Aquarium, Lakeland Motor Museum and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway. Grizedale Forest also makes for a great day out with plenty of trails, mountain biking, Segways and the Go Ape treetop adventure. Great location. That’s what bumped up the stars. Minimally stocked - had to buy own toilet paper and paper towels. Shower was a trickle and not enough force to wash our hair.

Brilliant location, clean and functional, would prefer washing machine to dishwasher, tumble dryer wouldn't go amiss and a proper shower

Very clean and comfortable flat. The village is picturesque and the nature and landscape lovely. We were there as a family and absolutly recommend it. There are activities for anyone like hiking, miniature golf, cinema or a boat trip. The only thing that may be annoying is that you hear the neighbours very good in the flat.
