Workshop Cottage in Bowness-On-Windermere is highly praised for its cleanliness, modern and quirky decor, and central location. Guests appreciate the well-furnished and comfortable accommodation, with a private terrace and high-standard amenities. While parking can be challenging and some guests noted noise disturbances, the proximity to local attractions and eateries is a major plus. The cottage's thoughtful touches contribute to a homely feel, making it a popular choice for a Lake District stay.

The majority of guests found the cottage to be very clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about unpleasant smells and minor issues such as a chipped mug and glass.

The cottage's central location is frequently highlighted as perfect, with easy access to local amenities and attractions. However, some guests mentioned noise from nearby establishments and the challenge of finding parking, slightly impacting the score.

The cottage is well-equipped with high-specification facilities, but some guests reported minor maintenance issues like non-working lights and internet connectivity problems. The presence of a pub nearby was occasionally mentioned as a disturbance.

While many reviews express satisfaction with the overall experience at the cottage, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. Therefore, a score cannot be given for this category.

The place was lovely , comfy and spacious but there were a few things that weren’t so great , no batteries for the tv remotes , the fire didn’t work , the shower water was kind of hot but the bath water was practically cold we had to boil the kettle and the delivery / pub next door was so loud smashing bottles , loud banging and chattering but apart from that the balcony was lovely the kitchen was great and the location was perfect one thing I will say the heating worked very well but maybe needed a few more instructions on how to work it

Little noisy now there are more properties nearby but didn’t spoil our stay. Unfortunately previous renters had taken car park pass when they left the property which was a bit of a nuisance but we managed apart from one parking fine to park our car nearby. Sykes sorted the issue quickly and it was all resolved. Beautiful cottage a proper home away from home. Layout worked perfectly for us too. Lovely comfy beds and the dressing room was a real bonus. Our little dog had a wonderful time. The small 2 seater settee although comfy has seen better days. Other than that - lovely
