In an exceptional location with unrivalled views over Ullswater and the surrounding fells from its patio with LED lighting, this former carriage house stands adjacent to Wreay Mansions, an exclusive small development of homes set peacefully amidst spectacular scenery. Furnished in a contemporary style, this makes a perfect location for a romantic break. Two miles away, Pooley Bridge has shops and inns. Many beautiful walks around the lake can be enjoyed, as well as nearby Aira Force Waterfall, Helvellyn, or trips on the Ullswater steamers. A scenic drive can be taken over Kirkstone pass to Ambleside and Windermere. Shops 2 miles, pub/restaurant ½ mile.

A great place to stay with a well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. The views from the garden were stunning. The pub was easy to walk too but uphill on the way back! Three TV's in a small place but too complicated. We struggled to watch live TV and there was no recycling. That said, we would definitely return as it was a perfect situation and had everything we needed.

We had a brilliant time at carriage house- we had everything we needed and it was even more lovely than the photos. Beautiful views.We went to Aira force one day and swam in the lake by there, and visited Pooley bridge and kayaked and swam. Also visited cathedral cavern a little further away. Thank you for a wonderful stay x
