Beautiful cottage, located in a really quiet village with dog walks from the door. Location is great for easy access to Ullswater, Keswick and Windermere. We found the beds and sofa really comfortable and had everything we needed. Although the shower in the bedroom is unusual, it didn't cause us any issues. Another WC would have been useful.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at the Barracks. The house itself was very spacious and had everything we needed. It is in a very quiet and idyllic position in a small village which meant it was so peaceful which is just what we needed. You dont have to travel too far to get to attractions such as Keswick, Castlerigg stone circle and Derwantwater. I would highly recommend staying at tje Barracks and we will definitely be back.
