Beautiful quiet location but within short driving distance of Penrith, Ullswater, Lowther Castle and other Lakeland attractions. The cottage itself was exceptionally clean, well equipped, with lovely comfy beds. The dogs loved running in the lovely garden, and it was great to sit out in the evening enjoying a glass of wine. The cottage has lovely old beams (two of our company were over 6ft tall but not a problem for them), and lots of quirky character. Definitely recommend this cottage if you're looking for a lake district holiday away from the crowds.
