Mell Fell was in a lovely location with amazing views of lake Ullswater. We sat in the window seats watching the boats sail by and house martins nesting above the window. Great restaurants in Penrith- special mention to Grants of Castlegate: superb! Also 2 minutes drive to the Brackenrigg pub: very good. We appreciated the bottle of wine left for us, but some milk & teabags would have been better! The apartment was well stocked with crockery, glasses, etc. & some dishwasher tablets. I did NOT appreciate having to empty the dishwasher on arrival or the request to strip the beds before we left however. Not what I wanted to do on holiday.
