My wife and I and our adult son had a very enjoyable weekend staying in Barn End. The cottage was clean and very comfortable with all the facilities needed. Although the weather was cold during our stay, the cottage was lovely and warm. The peaceful location is convenient for Ullswater and the north-east Lake District, with excellent walking locally including from the cottage itself. There are a good range of places to eat out in Pooley Bridge, the surrounding villages and Penrith.
