We enjoyed our week, in spite of the weather, it is the lake district but a day or two of sun would have been good, it was actually grey most of the time. Great position for northern lakes, virtually next to Ullswater, Pooley has all the basic provisions in two shops and a great bookshop with coffee and cakes. It's 15 mins to Aira and easy to get to other lakes.It was good to come back to warm comfortable accommodation.

lovely cottage in a very quiet location. Beautifully furnished and equipped. An easy 10min walk from all the ameneties of Pooley Bridge.
