Front garden with garden furniture. Maximum of 2 dogs accepted. Private parking for 2 cars, 200 yards away. No smoking. Please note: This property is accessed via a rough track.. The moment you step into this charming cottage you get a sense of its age and history, with its exposed beams, uneven floors and creaky floorboards, the cottage welcomes you in. The cosy living room invites you to nestle around the log burner as you warm your tired muscles from a busy days walking in the Lakes. The open plan kitchen/dining area is the ideal place to prepare a picnic as you plan the days adventures or to cook up a hearty meal for the family or friends. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a family bathroom, offering a bath with shower above.

A short walk takes you into Coniston, which is a lovely little village with a good selection of five pubs, cafés, plus gift shops and convenience stores. If you are looking for outdoor adventure you don’t need to venture far, Coniston Water is within walking distance with day boats available for hire or if you fancy a hike there is ‘Coniston Old Man’ which presents a challenge but rewards with fantastic views.

A few minutes’ drive will find you at the other famous Lake District attractions including Windermere or the lakeside towns of Bowness and Ambleside. There is truly something for everyone within easy reach of Coniston and wherever you go it’s a breathtaking journey. Outdoor enthusiasts can engage in cycling, hiking, climbing or a variety of water sports, thrill seekers can enjoy escape rooms, Go ape, or Segways. Culture vultures can enjoy Beatrix Potter or Wordsworth homes, museums, theatres or cinemas, families can visit the aquarium, Safari Zoo or birds of prey, or maybe you simply enjoy a day at the races or a Michelin star meal.     The directions to the cottage could be improved by adding in driving under the disused railway bridge and turn right.Also inform people that the parking space is - turn right at “the bungalow” along a small track to gate to the parking space.
