You'll find a fantastic day out in Coniston (8 miles) where you can challenge yourself on a walk around the Coniston Fells Circular, or simply stroll beside Coniston Water and soak in the serenity of the local area.

The antique dining table is perfect for evening meals or board game competitions, located beside a window for a lovely ambience. Next door, the kitchen is light and bright with dual-aspect windows and an array of seating including a breakfast bar. One of the bedrooms is located on the ground floor for easy access, furnished with a single bed with a shower room across the hall. The three remaining bedrooms are located on the first floor, including a twin room which is ideal for children. The final two bedrooms are sympathetically styled in keeping with the property's history, furnished with a king-size bed and a double bed. When the sun is shining, the front patio is a lovely spot to soak in the scenery, whilst the wildlife garden to the rear draws you in to explore the wildlife and pretty pond.

Pay a visit to the coast at Haverigg Beach (10 miles) and spend a day relaxing on the sand, or opt for a rugged walk along the coastal path to be rewarded by awe-inspiring scenery. For something a little different, Cartmel (20 miles) is well worth a visit for any foodies in the group as a hidden gem of fine dining with two Michelin star restaurants, as well as for its beauty and history, including the ancient priory.
