Guests say

Church House is a well-received cottage, praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and tranquil location. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, comfortable setting, and the property's proximity to walking paths and scenic views. The thoughtful owners are commended for their helpfulness, though one review mentions the house can feel cold in winter.

The cottage is consistently described as spotless and well-kept, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that guests are very satisfied with.

The location is celebrated for its tranquility and beauty, with easy access to walks and scenic landscapes. However, the distance to shops and the mention of roadworks slightly affect the score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable and spacious, suitable for families and pets. One review, however, notes the property can be cold in winter, which slightly lowers the score.

The property is well-equipped, with guests mentioning the availability of everything needed for a pleasant stay. The mention of a cold kitchen in winter suggests some room for improvement in heating efficiency.

While guests find the owners very helpful and considerate, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would fall under this category, so a score cannot be provided.

Loverly cottage. Great place to holiday. Plenty of walks out the door. When there are no/few clouds, moon and stars at night are unbelievable. It's that good we have been going since October 2017 twice a year.YOU WILL ENJOY.

The house was ok but a little dated. It was very well equipped but the major issue was the house temperature. I know the heating is via ASHP and this was constantly running throughout the day give a general temperature of 18-19c but when it’s -5c outside it’s really noticeable how cold the house was internally. The log burner was a god send but if the lounge door was left open for more than 30 seconds all the heat was lost. When you’re away on a winter holiday and walking a lot you really need a warm environment to return to. The kitchen was too cold to sit in and we didn’t want to light the fire in the dining room so we had to eat our meals on our laps, which isn’t ideal

Well kept and comfortable. Plenty of places to visit and walking.Good food at Newfield Inn. Make a visit to Broughton for shops, walks and a brilliant bakery.
