There is a downstairs king-size bedroom along with the main shower room. On the first floor are two lovely bedrooms: one super-king-size and one twin. Head outside onto the patio area surrounded by beautiful countryside; there is plenty of space to explore for kids and any four-legged friends.

For cyclists looking for a challenge, take on the challenging Hardknott Pass (11 miles), the steepest road in England, or go by car, pausing at Hardknott Roman Fort (13 miles) before descending to Eskdale (18.5 miles) and the prospect of a hike up Scafell Pike (17.5 miles), England's highest mountain. At Wasdale (16.5 miles), there are opportunities to walk, try paddleboarding or kayaking or Grizedale Forest (19 miles) offers a fabulous range of mountain bike and walking trails for all ages and abilities.
