Snaptrip says

Lord Landless lodge in Windermere offers a comfortable stay with a fantastic hot tub and tasteful decor. Its proximity to the clubhouse and the heart of Windermere and Ambleside is appreciated by guests. While some maintenance issues are noted, the lodge's setting and the addition of a hot tub contribute to a pleasant holiday experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge has received mixed feedback on cleanliness. Some guests have noted the need for a thorough cleaning of sofas and outdoor furniture, while others have not raised cleanliness as an issue. This suggests that while generally acceptable, there is room for improvement in this area.

The location of the lodge is highly praised for being peaceful yet conveniently close to main facilities and attractions in Windermere and Ambleside. The setting contributes positively to the overall experience.

Guests find the beds comfortable and the lodge warm, but there are comments about flimsy cutlery and the need for additional chairs, which suggests that while the lodge is generally comfortable, some aspects could be enhanced.

The hot tub is a highlight, but several reviews mention the need for maintenance and updates, including kitchenware, furniture, and general repairs. The presence of a posh dog bed indicates some thoughtful touches, but the maintenance issues detract from the overall facilities score.

There is a mention of a posh dog bed, which is a thoughtful touch for pet owners. However, there are no consistent references to gifts or additional thoughtful gestures that would warrant a score in this category. It should be noted that such amenities are subject to change and not guaranteed.

We stayed over Christmas and was just what we needed this year to have family together in a peaceful setting.

Hot tub was great addition however if you don’t plan to use turn it off as noisy operation 24 hrs a day. Lodge needs major maintenance, shower tray cracked, door frames rotten, dining seating dirty and foam flat, wardrobe door hinge requires fixing. Bathroom extraction fan inoperable may account for mould on wall. Decking slippy and requires cleaning. More of a site issue, trees need cutting back to allow parking. Disappointed overall as not what I would have expected being rated as 4 star.
